Join “The Friends of the Galway Public Library” and support our local library.
The Friends Board meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month (except December) at 7pm in the new library. Meetings are open for all to attend! We are currently looking for board members. If you are interested, please contact us at The Friends of the Galway Public Library, PO Box 292, Galway, NY 12074.
We have donated over $48,000 to the library since 2011.
Join our Friends Board!
Thanks to previous fundraisers and membership dues, the Friends have been able to support the library by checking some things off the library’s wish list. These are items not included in the library’s budget, so as you can see, the Friends are of vital importance to the library, and your support is greatly appreciated!
Some of those items include: 8 new computers, early literacy books, $2500 in other books, shelving, printer and software, subscriptions to the Gazette, Zoom, QuickBooks and website backup.
MILE of PENNIES—- Do you have a jar of pennies taking up space in a closet?? An easy way to free up some space is to donate them to the Friends. Bring them to the library the next time you visit and place them in the jar on the circulation desk. There is no need to wrap them!
